Like Me on Facebook… NOT.

I do not have a Facebook account, so don’t search for me on there!

But the main purpose of this post is something to do with Facebook. I was eating some cereal this morning and I was having a look at the box, which said ‘go to our Facebook page’. That made me think of how many companies have a Facebook page. Most of them are like ‘like us on Facebook!’ etc. and I was thinking, how many people actually do go onto their page? If they do, how many people actually like the page? It would be pretty embarrassing to have only a few likes after advertising for ages. And anyway, what would some companies put on their Facebook (or Twitter) profile? It’s not like they can put interesting things, only ‘buy our products!’ or something similar. Not exactly worthy of getting hundreds of views!

That was pretty much all I was thinking. Sorry for being so short!

  1. Well, of course I don’t know what cereal you were eating, but Kellogg’s Crunchy Nut Facebook page has over 190,000 ‘likes’. So they can then target their advertising very accurately to a precise audience !
